Joseph J. Lariviere

Joseph J. Lariviere, 80, of Providence, RI, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2020 at the Bannister Center, in Providence. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Albert and Rosemary (Slobogan) Lariviere. Joseph loved collecting a variety of caps and hats, his Dunkin Donuts coffee "black", duckpin bowling, puzzles, the American eagle, playing cards, fishing and watching the Boston Red Sox and the New England Partiots. Before he fell ill, he worked at two factories in Woonsocket. He is survived by his stepson, Gary Martin; his brother, Albert Lariviere and his grandson, Russell Lariviere, Jr. Besides his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys O. (Hunt) Lariviere; his sons, Glenn and Dennis Lariviere; brother, William Lariviere and his 1st wife, Lucille. Burial will be held privately and under the direction of Keene-Brown Funeral Home.
