Joseph W. Pachomski, 89, of North Smithfield, RI passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, at St. Antoine Residence, in North Smithfield surrounded by his loving family. Born in Cumberland, RI, he was the son of the late Stefan and Tekla (Hallas) Pachomski. Joseph was the cherished husband of Gladys (Cabana) Pachomski, with whom he shared 69 years of marriage.
Joseph attended Woonsocket High School and member of the high school football team.
Joseph dedicated much of his career to the Laborers Union, working in construction, steeple jacking, and painting. He was an avid participant in duckpin bowling and enjoyed both freshwater and deep-sea fishing, particularly for striped bass. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who most enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Gladys, he is survived by four children: Joseph Pachomski (Linda), Mary Vandervalk (Simon), Thelma Caron (Marc), and Nancy Ward (Vincent). He was the proud grandfather of Jason and Eric Pachomski, David, Nicole, and Mark Vandervalk, Bethany and Kayla Caron, Alexandre and Eden Martin, Abigail Rose and Sherri-Lynn Ward and Kelly Sabbagh. He also leaves behind his 17 great-grandchildren.
Joseph was predeceased by his grandson, Andrew Pachomski.
Arrangements are under the care of the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Road, North Smithfield.
Services and interment will be held privately.
