Judith M. (Bowers) Jones

Judith M. Jones (Bowers), 70, of Middleboro, MA passed away on May 17, 2018, at the Nemasket Nursing Home in Middleboro, MA. with her daughter and close family friend by her side. She was born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Charles R. & Mary P. (Reilly) Bowers. She spent most of her youth in Willimantic, CT (Mansfield Center, CT) until her mid 20's. Judith worked for the So. Weymouth Naval Air Base at The Country Store and The Exchange from the early 80's-1997 when it closed. She was a resident of Brockton, MA. for 22 years, where she worked for several of those until moving to Middleboro, MA. where she spent her last years. Judie enjoyed spending time with family and friends, she loved listening to music of all genres, cooking, going to bingo, Yahtzee and board games, taking rides to the beach and day road trips. She loved animals of all kinds, and made many a friend in the young and old, always lending a hand to others any way she could. She is survived by her loving children, Kelsey M. Canfield-Marcal & son-in-law, Carlos Marcal of Middleboro, MA., Ronald J. Canfield Jr. and Richard A. Jones Jr. of Middleboro, MA. as well as 5 grandchildren, Anthony, Reece, Joaquin and Gabriella, all of Middleboro, MA., and Ashlee Canfield of Rockland, MA., and a long list of "surrogate children" as she called them, that she took under her wings over the years and loved them as her own. Judie was a loving wife, mother, Nana and friend to all, and will be missed by many. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date by her family. Arrangements are entrusted to the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket, RI.
