Lewis H. Place, Jr. ,96, of Burrillville passed away peacefully at the St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield on October 15, 2025. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Lewis and Bertha (Verity) Place, Sr. Lewis was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth “Betty” (MacKinnon) of 68 years prior to her passing.
He was a licensed projectionist for the Bradley Theatre in CT for 18 years. He retired from Zambarano Memorial Hospital in Pascoag where he worked in the housekeeping department for 20 years. He was a country drummer for many local bands and was a member of the Retreads Motorcycle Club, riding his motorcycle until the age of 87.
He is survived by his son, Lewis H. Place, III and his long-time companion Sandra P. Mundy.
