Lucien W. Giguere

Lucien W. Giguere, 80, of Woonsocket , RI passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on February 4, 2023. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late George and Fabiola (Mayer) Giguere. He was the loving husband of 29 years of Dorothy (Champagne) Giguere.

Lucien was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps having served two tours during the Vietnam Conflict.

He worked for many years at Dale Medical Products in Franklin, MA.

He played the steel guitar in a variety of country music bands for many years and was an avid woodworker.

Besides his loving wife, he is also survived by his children, Joyce Paquette, Donna Forestal, Lucien Giguere Jr., John Giguere, and Lisa Giguere and seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

He also leaves behind his sisters, Claudette Grenier and Jeannine Johansen and sister-in-law, Jeanne Giguere.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene and George Giguere.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield.

Calling hours will be held on February 8, 2023 from 4- 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on February 9, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Church, S. Main St., Woonsocket. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, W. Wrentham Rd., Cumberland, RI.
