M. Elaine Richer, 85, of North Smithfield, RI passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026. Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Real Richer, with whom she shared many wonderful years of marriage and memories. Elaine leaves behind her two devoted daughters, Lori Anne McVey and her husband Michael, and Georgi Anna Morin and her husband Randy. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Owen and Eli McVey and Ryley and Matthew Morin, who brought immense joy to her life. She was the daughter of John and Margaret Marshall. Elaine is also survived by her siblings, Ronald Marshall, Paula Zifcak and John Marshall. She was predeceased by her brother, Wayne Marshall. Elaine dedicated over 20 years of her career as a legal secretary at Edwards & Angell Law Firm in Providence, RI. She also proudly owned and operated Richer’s Restaurant in Woonsocket, RI alongside her husband for five years, where many fond memories were made with family, friends, and the community. Elaine will always be remembered for her infectious laughter, wonderful sense of humor, and her infamous farm stories that could make anyone smile. She enjoyed watching movies, playing cards, spending time on games on her iPad and listening to Elvis Presley. Above all else, Elaine’s greatest joy in life was her family. Her daughters and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her warmth, humor, and love will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
