Maria Babu-Trambas

Maria Babu-Trambas, 85, of Brockton, MA passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025. Born in Bucharest Romania, she was the daughter of the late Ion Miu and Rada Coconu. She was the wife of the late Tomache Babu who passed away in 2004.

Maria was the owner and operator of a bakery in Romania. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining family and friends and loved to travel. She will be remembered most for her love for family, her friendliness and helping family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Ovidiu D. and Gabriella Babu, and Liana Brito. Also her three grandchildren, Yanni, Juliana and Thomas Babu.

She also leaves behind her sisters, Viorica Lotar of Canada and Elena Rogoveanu of Romania.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Egidio DiPardo and Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket.

Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow in St. John the Romanian Baptiste Cemetery, Mendon Rd., Woonsocket.
