Maria Ocasio 88, of Woonsocket passed away August 27, 2021, at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket. Born in Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Castor Ocasio and Inocensia Rodriguez. She leaves behind her loving companion, Ramon Rosa.
She was a very loving and dedicated mother and home maker. She loved flowers and enjoyed spending time planting.
Besides her companion, she is survived by her three children, Nestor and Millie Cruz and Daisy Castro and her daughter-in-law, Debbie Deleo.
She is also survived by her siblings, Toño, Ire, and Marta. She was preceded in death by siblings, Bina, Juan, Samuel, Santa, and Moncho.
She was the loving grandmother of Nestor Jr,, Joseph, Jessy, Marie, Jason, Christie and Cindy.
She was also the loving grandmother of 15 great-grandchildren and a host of great-great-grandchildren.
Calling Hours will be held at Egidio DiPardo Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket, from 5-8:00 PM on Thursday, September 2, 2021. A Committal Service will be held September 3, 2021, at 10:00 AM in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland, RI where she will be laid to rest.
