Marie T. Rivet

Marie T. Rivet, of Burrillville, RI passed away peacefully on May 6, 2024 at the age of 99, at the Overlook Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pascoag, where she was well known and loved by staff members. Born in Oakland, RI, she was the daughter of the late Henri and Alma (Rondeau) Rivet, and proud sister to the 17 siblings in their blended family.

Marie T. was a textile worker all her life and retired in 1992 from the former Worcester Co. in Esmond after drafting textiles there for 14 years. She was a lifelong Burrillville resident, and a member of the Bradford Court Tenants Association, where she won service awards and was specially recognized by the Westminster Baking Company.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Irene, Yvonne, Cecile, Frederick, and Edgar and Anita, Robert, Henry (died age 13), Claire, Rose, Laura (died in infancy) Lucille, Delia, Muriel and Eva.

She is survived by her brother, Roland Rivet of Clinton, TN and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home, 1496 Victory Hwy., Oakland, RI. Calling Hours will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024, from 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM in the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Good Help Church, 1063 Victory Hwy., Mapleville, RI. Burial will Follow in St. Theresa’s Cemetery in Nasonville.
