Mary T. (Mulcahy) Lemeir, 101, of Lincoln, RI, formerly North Smithfield and Woonsocket passed away on April 29, 2026, at the Holiday Retirement Home in Lincoln. She was the loving wife to the late Raymond E. Lemeir who passed away June 3, 2011. Mary and Raymond were married on May 3, 1947. She was born in Woonsocket, RI, daughter of the late John & Elizabeth (Blunt) Mulcahy. Mary worked as a winder in local area textiles; she worked for the former Woonsocket Rubber shop and retired from the Hanora Mills in 1992 at the age of 67. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends. After her retirement she enjoyed caring for her grandchildren. She was active in the Woonsocket Senior Center until her husband’s death, she was very supportive of his many programs and presidency of the center. Mary spent the last 12 years in assisted living at Windemere Woods in Woonsocket for 4 years and full care at the Holiday Retirement Home in Lincoln for the last 8 years. The family thanks all who loved her and took good care of her. She is survived by her 4 daughters, Mary Ann Plante of Richardson, TX, Betty Ann Menard and her husband Raymond of Harrisville, RI, Jo Ann Tempest and her partner Thomas Quinn of Lincoln, RI and Cynthia Ann Tracey and her husband Robert of North Providence, RI. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was the last surviving of her 12 siblings being the middle child. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday May 5, 2026, at 11am in St. John’s Church, Church St., in Slatersville, RI. Burial in RI Veteran’s Cemetery will be held at a later date. Calling hours and flowers are omitted, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America 322 Eighth Ave., 16th Floor New York, NY 10001. Arrangements are entrusted to the Keene-Brown Funeral Home in North Smithfield, RI.
