Maureen M. McGrane, 91, of Burrillville, RI passed away peacefully on May 30, 2024, with family by her side. Born in Oakland, RI she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Elizabeth (McDonald) Bryne. She was the loving wife of the late John McGrane.
Maureen was a 1956 graduate of St. Joseph's L.P.N. School and worked as a L.P.N. at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Fatima Unit in North Providence for 38 years, retiring in 1995.
As a lifelong resident of Burrillville, she was a member of the St. Patrick’s Rosary and Altar Society, and she was active in St. Patrick’s Bingo and also Ashton Court Activities. Maureen also assisted with Meals on Wheels and bowled with the Smithfield Women’s League.
She is survived by her son, Michael McGrane and his wife Christine of Mapleville and a granddaughter, Megan McGrane.
She was the beloved sister of the late Brendan Bryne and Lawrence Bryne.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home, 1496 Victory Hwy., Oakland, RI.
Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Monday, June 3, 2024, from 4:00 -7:00 PM
Funeral will be on June 4, 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Brown Funeral Home with a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Church, Harrisville Main St. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery Pascoag Main St.
