Michael C. Ames

Michael C. Ames, 57, of Providence, RI tragically passed away on September 25, 2024 at home. He was the son of Raymond G. Ames and Frances (Barry) Ames. He was raised in Franklin, MA and attended public schools.
 

He was active in hockey and track. He was kind, funny, and a skilled craftsman. One of his greatest gifts was he able to tell a funny story or experience! He was one of the best storytellers. 

Michael worked most of his life in construction and was a hard worker and someone who loved family.
 

He is survived by his son, Michael Ames and his wife Brittany of Winter Springs, FL, and his siblings, Maureen Dubois and her husband Michael of Slatersville RI, Stephen Ames of Blackstone Ma, Brendan Ames of Augusta, GA, and Allison Hohenstein and her husband Mark of Manchester, Mo.
 

Arrangements are entrusted to the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield, RI.

A service will be held for Michael in the funeral home on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 3:00 PM.

Burial will be held privately.
