Obituary

Michael L. Doucette, 68, of Mystic, CT, a former Burrillville resident, passed away unexpectedly on February 20, 2023. Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Louis and Jennie (Pulnik) Doucette.

Michael was the Senior Class President of Burrillville High School Class of 1973. He graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston and then received his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Rhode Island. He worked for the Dominion Co. in the Millstone Power Plant. He was also the inspector at the former Mystic Power Plant and worked for several other companies prior to his retirement.

He was a sailing enthusiast and loved his time sailing his beautiful sailboat. Mike hosted many great times on his sailboat with friends. He also loved his time spent playing golf.  

He is survived by his sister, Patricia Vanasse and her husband Albert Vanasse, Jr., his nephew, Steven Vanasse, and his niece, Jennifer Wood. He also leaves behind several cousins.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home, 1496 Victory Hwy., Oakland, RI.

Funeral Services and burial were respectfully held privately.
