Muriel A. (Desrosiers) Gauthier

Muriel A. Gauthier, 92, of Burrillville, RI passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on June 26, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Delphis and Simonne (Leduc) Desrosiers. She was the loving wife of the late Edward G. Gauthier.

She worked at former Uniroyal Co. in Woonsocket in the packing and assembly room for 22 years and also worked as a machine operator for 22 years at the former PolyTop Co. in No. Smithfield before her retirement in 1993. She has been a resident of Burrillville since 1951. She was a member of the St. Theresa’s Women’s Guild. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling and she belonged to the Happy Rollers and the St. Joseph’s Bowlers.

Muriel is survived by her two children, Edward Gauthier, Jr. of Woonsocket and Donna Deroy of Burrillville.

She also leaves behind her two sisters, Cecile Garand of Wrentham, MA and Jeannette Bergeron of W. Covina, CA, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Albert Desrosiers and sisters, Simonne Rosewell, and Yvette Masse.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home, 1496 Victory Hwy., Oakland, RI.

Calling hours will be held in the funeral home from 9:30 - 10:30 AM on Saturday, July 2, 2022 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Theresa’s Church, Nasonville. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.
