Patricia M. Ducharme, 73, of North Providence, RI passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026, at Rhode Island Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late George and Barbara (Griffin) St. Laurent. Patricia devoted much of her life to education and service. She was a respected schoolteacher for most of her life. She taught elementary school at Northwest Catholic School for over 20 years and a religion teacher at LaSalle Academy for the last 20 years, where she inspired countless students with her dedication and compassion. In addition to her teaching career, she served as Director of Religious Education at Our Lady of Good Help Church. Here she was also an RCIA teacher, guiding adults towards making their sacraments. Patricia was also an avid volunteer, generously giving her time to numerous charitable and religious organizations. She was always so thoughtful and selfless. She is survived by her children: Neil Ducharme and his wife, Robin; Missy Ducharme and Kristen Ducharme. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Lily and Ava Ducharme, Juliet Hanrahan, and Evan Ducharme. Patricia also leaves behind her siblings: Mary Belisle, Jackie Farley, Peter and Paul St. Laurent. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Emma Rose Hanrahan. Her funeral will be held Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 8:30 AM from the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Road, North Smithfield with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Our Lady of Good Help Church, Victory Hwy., Mapleville. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Pascoag. Calling hours will be held Friday, April 10, 2026, at the funeral home from 4 PM until 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Patricia may be made to Burrillville Catholic Support Our Mission your donations help the devotional, educational. and cultural mission of the Shrine.
