Patricia M. (Connors) Martufi

Patricia M. Martufi, 80, of North Providence, RI, passed away on August 6, 2020, at the Fatima Hospital in No. Providence. She was the loving wife of James P. Martufi, Sr. She was born in Providence, a daughter of the late James & Margaret (Camack) Connors. Patricia was a loving homemaker who took pride in taking care of her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. A resident of North Providence, Patricia and her husband lived many years in Mapleville, RI Pat’s life was deeply grounded in her Catholic faith. For many years Pat served at the Pine Grove Health Center in Pascoag where she distributed communion and led the residents in praying the rosary. She was dearly loved by the residents who awaited her visits with great anticipation. She also served her parish as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist and was a devoted member of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul at Our Lady of Good Help Parish for over twenty years. She loved to do home visits and spend time talking with those in need, helping them to address the difficulties they faced. Pat was a dedicated volunteer at the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry at Our Lady of Good Help. She not only helped with the distribution of food, and the keeping of records, but also formed lasting friendships with those who visited the pantry each month. Pat was a genuine selfless servant to others. Besides her husband, she is survived by her children; James P. Martufi Jr. and his wife Cynthia, Michael Martufi Sr. and his wife Karen and Patricia "Patty" Rathbun and her husband Mark and her grandchildren, Diana DeRobbio and her husband Seth, Peter Martufi and his wife Caitlin, Michael Martufi Jr., Brian Martufi, Kaylie Rathbun, Erin McLaughlin and Matthew McLaughlin as well as her great-grandchildren, Dillon Martufi, Paige Martufi, Domenic DeRobbio, Josh Martufi, Salvatore DeRobbio and Kadyn Gabelmann. She is also survived by her sister, Ellen Pirraglia. She was preceded in death by her sister, Anna Dandeneau and her grandsons, Thomas McLaughlin III and Jacob Rathbun. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at 10 AM at Our Lady of Good Help Church, Victory Hwy., Mapleville, RI. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Johnston, RI. Calling hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Society of Saint Vincent De Paul at Our Lady of Good Help Church, P.O. Box 424, Mapleville, RI 02839. Arrangements are entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home, 1496 Victory Hwy, Oakland, RI. Social distancing guidelines will be implemented upon arrival.
