Rene R. "Joe" Charpentier

Rene R. “Joe” Charpentier, 68, resident of Harrisville, RI, passed away on January 5, 2026, at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence.

He was born in Woonsocket, son of the late Rene & Lillian (Gervais) Charpentier.  He was the loving husband of 46 years to Catherine (Murphy) Charpentier.

Joe worked for Greenworks Lawn Specialist and the former Boliden Metech in Burrillville. He loved spending time with family, his saying was “family first”.  He also enjoyed trivia and gardening, growing most of his own herbs and tomatoes.

Besides his loving wife, he is survived by daughters, Melissa and Nicole Charpentier, grandson, Kaleb Crossley and siblings, Andre, Marcel and Leo Charpentier.

A visitation will be held Friday January 9, 2026 in the Brown Funeral Home, 1496 Victory Hwy., Oakland from 4 pm until 7 pm. Services and burial will be private.
