Website Obituary Richard E. Burke, 81, of Lynn, MA passed away on March 6, 2020, at the Briarcliffe Gardens in Johnston, RI. He was the loving husband of Donna M. (Evans) Burke for over 57 years. He was pre-deceased by his parents of Lynn, MA. Richard graduated from Northeastern University in 1960 earning degrees in Chemistry and Biology. He worked as a chemist for the Monadnock Paper Co., in Monadnock, NH, for many years, retiring in 2000. After retiring, he and his wife moved to Florida for 18 years and then returned to Rhode Island. He was a US Army Korean Conflict veteran. He was a member of the NRA and the local Rod & Gun Club in FL and enjoyed hunting, fishing, rock hounding, astronomy and science. He and his wife were inseparable as they enjoyed their retirement sharing many of his hobbies together. Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Joy Daignault and her husband Ronald and David Burke and his wife Lori, grandson, Christopher McIntyre and his wife Jenna, great grandchildren, Asher and Aiden McIntyre and a sister, Linda Lucas and her husband Dick. Calling hours will be held Monday, March 9, 2020, in the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield, from 11 AM until 3 PM. Services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in Richard's memory may be made to Briarcliffe Gardens in Johnston, RI.
