Richard P. Roy

Richard P. Roy, 63, of West Glocester, RI, passed away peacefully July 11, 2020, at his sister's home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Bonnie (Poudrier) Roy. He was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Roger & Constance (Duval) Roy. Richard worked for the FM Global Research Campus in Glocester as a Senior Engineering Technician. He enjoyed golfing and played in leagues at Crystal Lake Golf Course. He was also an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Shelley Roy of Glocester and Jason Roy of Sterling, CT, stepdaughter, Rebecca Poirier of Harrisville, his grandchildren, Jade & Sophia Delsignore, Camryn & Bailey Roy and Hunter St. Pierre. He is also survived by his siblings, Claudette McCarthy, Diane Coleman, Denise Meagher and Dennis Roy and his dog Brady. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Butch Roy. Funeral services and burial will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home, 1496 Victory Hwy., Oakland, RI.
