Rita T. McClanahan, 84, of Woonsocket passed away peacefully on March 6, 2021. Born in Fall River, MA.. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Mildred (Taylor) Malenfant.
Rita worked in local textile mills. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She was the proud mother of two children, her son, Michael Malenfant and his wife Sunie and a daughter, the late Jeannette (Malenfant) Fontaine.
Besides her son she is survived by her grandchildren, Raymond M. Fontaine and his wife Stephanie and Jeremy Fontaine and his wife Agnieszka and her 7 great-grandchildren, Julia, Layla, Gabriella, Sophia, Rayden, Thomas and Raymond.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Gladys Yagnesak, Lucy Leclerc, Joan Arnold, Edward Malenfant, Lillian Sinko, Alfred Malenfant and Charles Malenfant.
Calling hours will be held at The Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket. April 17, 2021 1:00PM -3:00PM Funeral Service will be held at 3:00PM. Burial will be private.
