Robert N. Ethier

Robert N. Ethier, 80, of Harrisville, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021, at the Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence.  He was the son of the late Theodore and Amanda (Fortin) Ethier. He was the loving husband of Sieglinde “Linda” (Bellmann) Ethier.

Robert worked for Our Lady of Fatima Hospital for 35 years as an IT Manager. He was a Vietnam Veteran.  He was active with the Boy Scouts Troop 2 in Harrisville. In his free time, he and his wife enjoyed traveling around the world. He was an easy fun-loving and quick-witted guy with a great sense of humor. His family will always remember his beautiful voice bellowing out Christmas Carols on Christmas Eve. He was proud of being in Intelligence and to his final day, he kept his secrets to himself.

Besides his loving wife, he leaves behind his two children Ulrike “Rike” Murphy and Robert E. Ethier.

He was the proud grandfather of Ryan and Sean Murphy and Selah and Jamarie Ethier. He will be greatly missed.

Calling hours will be held December 4, 2021, at the Keene Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield from 8-9:00 AM. Funeral Services will follow at 9:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial ,with Military Honors, will take place in the Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI at 10:30 AM.
