Robert Yasick Obituary

Robert Thomas Yasick, 69, of Millville, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on December 11, 1955, Robert lived a full and generous life rooted in hard work, quiet strength, and deep devotion to those he loved.

He was the beloved husband of Bonnie Yasick, with whom he shared 50 years of unwavering love and partnership. A proud and devoted father, he leaves behind his children, Jeffrey and Kathleen Yasick, daughter-in-law, Karen Yasick and was a cherished grandfather to Dylan Cummings and Samuel Yasick.

Robert is also survived by his brothers, Joseph and William Yasick, and his nieces and nephew: Thomas, Lisa, and Nina Yasick.

He was predeceased by his loving parents, Marguerite “Marge” (Sweeney) and Joseph Yasick of Millville, MA; his brother, Thomas Yasick of Burrillville, RI; and his sister-in-law Donna Yasick of Woodbridge, CT.

Robert spent many years working as a machinist, where his precision, patience, and analytical mind led to a fulfilling career. He eventually retired from Cybex Gym Equipment as a Manufacturing Supervisor, taking pride in managing parts and production—always ensuring the highest quality in everything he did.

Outside of work, Robert found joy in life’s simple pleasures: fishing, golfing, working on cars, tending to his yard, and playing poker, always dreaming of winning big at the casino. He was known for his quick wit, humble nature, and can-do attitude. As he often said with a grin, he was a “jack of all trades and master of none,” though his family would argue he mastered far more than he ever admitted.

A proud Army veteran, Robert enlisted in 1975 and served honorably at Fort Hood, Texas, where he was named Magazine Keeper and earned an expert-level sharpshooter award—a reflection of his steady hands and focused determination.

Robert will be remembered most for his selflessness. He was a simple man with a heart of gold, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him—a man of quiet integrity, gentle humor, and endless generosity.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield.

A private service will be held by the family to celebrate Robert’s life.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in his honor to Dana-Farber.
