Ronald "Ron" Fernandes

Ronald Fernandes, 67, of West Warwick, passed away August 27,2021 at Kent Hospital in Warwick. Born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Julio and Archangel Edna (Barbosa) Fernandes.
 

Ron was the owned and operated the former Ron's Spaghetti House in Smithfield, RI for over 20 years
 

Ron thrived in his career in the food service industry.  He also enjoyed trips to the casinos, traveling and spending time with friends and family. He was a strong but gentle man with a generous spirit and always willing to help.

He is survived by 7 brothers, Robert, Albert and Joseph Fernandes of Woonsocket, Nelson Fernandes of FL, Julio Fernandes, Jr. of MA, Edward Fernandes of Cranston, RI, Roland Fernandes of Cumberland, RI, three sisters, Alice Fernandes of Woonsocket, Alcina Forcier of Lincoln, and Fatima Duquette of FL.

He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Donald Fernandes, Leo Fernandes, George "Gus" Fernandes and Virginia Verhoest.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Egidio DiPardo & Son’s Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket, RI.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, September 2, 2021, at 10:00 AM at St. Charles Church, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone, MA. Calling Hours are Omitted.
