Russell A. Letendre, 94, of North Smithfield, RI, passed away January 14, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Slatersville, RI, son of the late Albert & Lea (Fonteneau) Letendre. He was the loving husband to Constance (Doyle) Letendre, they were married September 27, 1958.
Russell was a production manager for the School House Candy Co. in Pawtucket, previously he worked for Uniroyal in Woonsocket. He was a graduate of Providence College with a B.A. in economics and a graduate of Woonsocket High School. He was a lifetime Slatersville resident. Russell enjoyed gardening and traveling.
Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his children, Bruce E. Letendre (Ann) of Littleton, MA, daughters, Charlene A. McMillan (Robert) of Chesapeake, VA, and Carla E. Casman (Phil) of Milford, MA. Grandchildren, Emma & Evan Letendre, Ian McMillan, Julia, Leah and Lindsay Casman. He was preceded in death by his sister, Helen T. Fisher.
Funeral services and burial in St. John’s Cemetery will be held private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org) or HopeHealth Hospice (hopehealthco.org).
Arrangements are entrusted to the Keene-Brown Funeral Home in North Smithfield.
