Sandra Ellen (Wallace) Sanger

Sandra Ellen Sanger (Wallace), age 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at First Coast Health and Rehabilitation Center in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born on September 2, 1939, in Providence, RI, the daughter of the late George and Barbara Wallace.

Sandra had a lifelong passion for politics, music, and the beach —whether engaging in thoughtful discussions, enjoying her favorite songs, or spending quiet moments by the ocean. She was known for her strong opinions and quick wit, never afraid to speak her mind.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her former husband, Earl Sanger, her brother, Brian Wallace and her daughter, Susan Sanger. She is survived by her children: daughters, Kathi Volpe and Beth Sanger and sons, Scott, Dustyn and Derrek Sanger. Sandra is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The funeral or memorial service will be private. The Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield is in charge of arrangements. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at First Coast Health and Rehabilitation Center and VITAS Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion.
