Stephen L. Chita, 58, of Blackstone, MA, passed away on September 10, 2018, at the Genesis Milford Center, Milford, MA. Born in Woonsocket, RI, he was the son to the late John and Mary (Thomas) Chita.
Stephen “Steve” was married to his loving wife, Christina “Chrissy” L. (Ducharme) Chita.
Steve was a retired Correctional Officer and K-9 Officer for the Massachusetts Correctional Institute in Norfolk. An avid motorcyclist, Steve was also part of the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club for Law Enforcement. Stephen was a huge animal lover and especially loved his K-9 dogs and most recently, his ducks and chickens.
Besides his wife Chrissy, he is survived by his loving daughters, Amanda Chita, of Woonsocket, Zaya-Lynn Hall, of Blackstone; two sons, Jason Beaulieu and Alyxzander Hall, of Blackstone, MA.; one granddaughter, Abigail Sloe, of Woonsocket; brothers, John, “Johnny” of Pascoag, Paul, of Uxbridge, MA, David, of CT, Dr. Michael Chita, of GA and one sister, Mary “Missy” Notorantonio, of Blackstone. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Peter, Paul and Thomas “Tommy” Chita.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 17, 2018, from 4-8 PM, at the Egidio DiPardo and Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Avenue, Woonsocket, RI. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
