Therese M. (Aubin) Suffoletto, 93, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on December 14, 2024, in the Friendly Home in Woonsocket, RI.
She was the daughter of the late Wilfred J. and Edna (Farland) Aubin and the sister of the late Wilfred Aubin, Jr. She was the wife of the late Eugene J. Suffoletto to whom she was married for 58 years before his passing in 2008.
Therese was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She played an essential role in the upbringing and nurturing of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She enjoyed playing cards and bingo and spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid churchgoer.
She especially loved knitting and crocheting and created hundreds of pairs of slippers (poupons) and mittens along with numerous scarves, hats, and an occasional afghan or two. Her great joy came from not only creating these things, but in giving them away as well. Everyone wanted a pair of memere’s poupons and she made sure that everyone had at least one pair or more. You could even pick your own color yarn, and she was glad to oblige.
She is survived by her three children, Michael Suffoletto and wife Donna, Margaret Ray and husband Philip and Janie Bastien and husband Gary.
She leaves her five grandchildren, Stacy Fitzroy and her partner Fred Aldrich, Mandy Ray-Smith and her husband Jose, Angela Saccoccio and her partner Chris Babcock, Eric Suffoletto and his wife Jena and Lauren France and her husband Jake.
She also leaves behind ten great-grandchildren, Ryan, Abby, Cecilia, Diego, Sebastian, Miranda, Elizabeth, Whit, Amelia, Lydia, and Ethan, Avery and Aubrey.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 28th from 9:00 am to 10:30 am in the funeral home. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the Divine Mercy Parish, 78 St. Paul St., Blackstone, MA at 11 am. She will then be laid to eternal rest alongside her husband and love of her life Eugene, in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone.
