Thomas "TR" R Forestal

Thomas R ‘T.R.’ Forestal, (65), a stubborn, grouchy grump, passed away at his home in Mapleville, RI on May 14. He was predeceased by his high school sweetheart and love of his life, his wife Lisa E. (Boucher) Forestal.  Born in Pawtucket on December 16, 1960, TR was the son of the late Newman and Anita (Talbot) Forestal.  T.R. enjoyed fishing, Patriots games, NASCAR, crossword puzzles, reality TV and his ever-present cigarettes and beer.  He was a talented auto-mechanic and worked at several local businesses throughout his years including Eagle Motors in Harrisville, North Smithfield Auto Salvage and most recently, Jacques Bus Company of Chepachet.  He was a graduate of Davies High School in Lincoln, RI and served 2 years overseas in the army.

He had a love for cats and dogs and those who knew him well will tell you that beneath his gruff exterior, he had a kind, thoughtful and caring heart.

He is survived by his brother, Ken Forestal and his wife Joan of Berino, NM. He also leaves behind his brothers-in-law, Edward ‘Marty’ Boucher of North Smithfield and Darrin Boucher of Smithfield and his sister-in-law, Sandra Boucher of Woonsocket, who will always remember him as a wonderful big brother. He was also predeceased by his brother, Francis ‘Fran’ of Pawtucket. TR will be missed by his nieces and nephews as well. 

TR spent the last 12 years of his life grieving the loss of his beloved wife.  TR and Lisa’s families take comfort in the fact that they are together again.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield.

A celebration of his life will be held at Cady’s Tavern at 2168 Putnam Pike in Chepachet, RI on Saturday, June 13th from 1:00 - 4:00 PM. Burial will be private.
