William T. Barden, 79, of Burrillville, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2022, at the Overlook Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pascoag. He was the son of the late William Barden, Sr. and Flora (Rivet).
He was the loving husband of 51 years to Sandra (Tanguay) Barden.
He was a Veteran of the United States Army. William worked for Teknor Apex as a dispatcher and retired in 2007 after 28 years. He received his bachelor’s degree in business from the former Bryant College.
He was an avid reader, enjoyed bowling, traveling, and his beloved Boston Celtics. He loved spending time at the summer cottage “the camp” with family and friends was something he looked forward to every year. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Those times spent together brought him his greatest joy.
He is survived by his 4 children, Mathew Barden (Lori), Christopher Barden (Michelle Meagher), Kevin Barden (Harlyn Benetti), and Joshua Barden (Michaela).
He was the very proud Papa to his 8 grandchildren, William, Tanner, Calyx, Nicholas, Kaya, August, Indiana, and Jonathan.
He also leaves behind his siblings, Michael and Donald Barden, his sister-in-law, Pat Karmozyn, their spouses, and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home, 1496 Victory Hwy., Oakland, RI. Due to the Covid 19, services will be held privately.
