Obituary

William (Bill) H. Gilmore, 65, passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on July 6, 2022. Born in Providence, RI he was the son of the late John A. and Gertrude (Lury) Gilmore.

Bill was the loving husband of Janet Gilmore.

Bill is also survived by his daughter, Stephanie Lynn Volpe, his grandchildren, Jayden Tucker, Joseph Gilmore, Laura Bourdeau and Jaxson Bourdeau. Also, his brothers, John Gilmore, Jr., George Gilmore, and his sister, Lori Lucas. Bill has joined his brother, the late Robert Gilmore and sister the late Betty Desourdy.

Bill served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam as a aviation mechanic.

Bill was employed by the Imperial Palace as a long haul truck driver.

Bill enjoyed square dancing, cards, camping and being with family and friends.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield.

Calling hours will take place on July 11, 2022, from 10 - 12:00 PM with a Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home at 12:00 PM. Burial, with Military Honors will follow in Pascoag Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of William to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
