William Degnan, Jr., 88, of North Smithfield, RI passed away peacefully at Hope Health Hospice and Palliative Care in Providence. He was the son of the late William and Ruth Degnan, Sr. and husband of 65 years to Jeanne (Paquin) Degnan.
Bill proudly served in the US armed forces. He was also an avid offshore fisherman and known as “Cap” to those who knew him well.
Besides his wife Jeanne, he is survived by his children, Christine Jeanne and Elizabeth Degnan, Colleen Degnan Daley and his daughter-in-law, Trish Degnan.
He is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, William Degnan, III.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield.
Services will respectfully be private.
